Jeff Chaves

Chaplain

Jeff Chaves is a valued member of the Eden MD care community, serving as a Chaplain and Care Coach who brings wisdom, compassion, and steady presence to those navigating life’s more challenging seasons. His work reflects Eden MD’s commitment to wholeness—supporting individuals not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually, with care that is both grounded and restorative.

Originally from Santa Barbara, California, Jeff now resides in Las Vegas with his wife of 42 years, Peggy. Together, they have raised four children and remain deeply rooted in family and connection—values that shape his approach to care and community.

Jeff’s professional background began as a broadcast journalist in the U.S. Army, followed by over a decade at VegasPBS producing and directing television content. Since 2013, he has worked as a freelance video producer and writer, creating meaningful content for churches, nonprofits, and media organizations, and engaging in thoughtful conversations with leaders across ministry and broadcasting. His ability to communicate with clarity and intention carries into every interaction he has with those he serves.

Alongside his media career, Jeff has faithfully pursued a lifelong call to ministry. He currently leads CHRCH Online and has served in multiple congregations, as well as at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. In 2023, he stepped into his role with LEAPCare as a Remote Care Coach—walking alongside individuals through grief, life transitions, and emotional challenges with a spirit of accountability and grace.

At Eden MD, Jeff’s presence helps create space for breakthrough—offering encouragement, perspective, and spiritual support that allows individuals to move forward with renewed strength and resilience. His care is rooted in listening well, showing up consistently, and reminding others they are not alone.

Outside of his work, Jeff enjoys reading, watching sports, and traveling with Peggy—often returning to Southern California to spend time with family.
